Centre of town, about 15 minutes walk from the train station - max. It's about 2 minutes from the current corp venue. Used to be called the Wap back in the day. Ask people for City Hall - every bugger knows where that is - when you get there stand in front of city hall and then look at the Cole Brothers store opposite - walk down the right hand side (weatherspoons and the sportsman on the right hand side of the road) at the bottom of that road you'll see the casbah. |

BY FOOT - leave train station and head through Bus station, you should be able to see the academy already above the bus station- it's a white tiled monstrosity (thanks to it's legacy as the old ROXY building) with a spanky day glo academy sign, head up the side of the little concourse of shops (i think there's a chippy still open there) and there's some steps leading around to the front - it's opposite the crucible/lyceum for people who have a vague knowledge of sheffield! |

On Foot: from bus/train station. leave train station cross road and head up to Howard Pub or leave bus station to the left and walk to the Howard. Go up the hill past the Howard Pub. (Howard and Hallam uni on your left) At top of hill cross at lights and turn left.(Arundel Gate) follow this road to the first roundabout, cross road, go past fuel nightclub on your right, turn right on next road (matilda street) Plug is on your left, entrance is at top (opposite forbidden planet shop) unless gig is in small room, in which case it is opposite you now!!! |
